Systems Administrator - Telecommuter

NW3C, a non-profit corporation dedicated to supporting law enforcement agencies nationwide, seeks a telecommuting Systems Administrator to join its Information Technology team.  The Systems Administrator implements, administers and monitors hardware, software, network and communications systems for the NW3C’s Technology Enterprise, which supports more than 100 end users.  Assists with ensuring security of the system and developing, implementing, and training staff on IT policies and procedures.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in computer engineering or computer science and five years of related experience required.  Significant practical experience and MCSE or CCNA certifications or an associate’s degree may substitute for the bachelor’s degree.  Must have an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft domain architecture, active directory networking and security concepts, internet technologies, Cisco voice-over-ip and unified communications services. Must possess a team-oriented work ethic, a commitment to a customer service environment, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Preference given to candidates with experience in federal, state and local law enforcement.
