"NW3C is known for its computer forensic training on behalf of state, local and tribal law enforcement personnel,” said NW3C Computer Crimes Manager Tom Macauley. “This course was developed with Leidos, Inc. and targeted for network administrators in both government and private corporations, so they can learn how to secure their computer networks and avoid being victims of computer crimes.”

Topics in this three-day class include:

  • General security fundamentals
  • Operating system hardening for Windows® and UNIX®-based systems
  • Intrusion detection
  • Incident response
  • Computer forensics

Students demonstrate practical skills through hands-on exercises as the class progresses.

Currently, NW3C has one Computer Network Defense class on the schedule. It will be held April 9-11, 2014 in Columbia, MD. Space is limited. For more information and to register for this new, cutting-edge training, please visit: http://www.nw3c.org/training/commercial-products/79.
