lptico  PDF version of Course Description

This 1-day, delivered as part of a Fast Track, course is intended for detectives and officers, as well as probation/parole staff, conducting “knock and talk” interviews or spot checks and home visits. This class utilizes the TUX4N6™ digital triage program to preview a suspect computer system for potential evidence in a forensically sound manner. The CD is based on the Linux operating system and has the advantage of being able to “read” other computer system’s files without writing to or altering the data on those systems. Students are taught how to conduct a manual search of a computer, how to use an automated tool to search the computer and how to save evidence to a USB drive.

There are currently no scheduled classes for this course. If you are interested in knowing when the next class might be offered or would like more information in general please see the training contact information on this page.
