ICAC - Cybercop 225 - Apple® iDevice Forensics
This course is funded through OJJDP. To register for this class, you must be affiliated with an ICAC Task Force. Furthermore, you must agree to comply with the Best Practices and Standards established by ICAC. This 2-day course introduces attendees to the various models of Apple iDevice hardware that are most likely to be encountered during the course of an investigation. The course includes the acquisition and analysis of data from non-iOS devices (iPod Classic®, Nano®, and Shuffle®).
Students will become familiar with methods for acquiring data from iOS devices (iPod Touch®, iPhone®, and iPad®). Students will use forensically-sound tools and techniques to analyze potential evidence from iOS devices, including information from built-in applications as well as popular third-party applications.
This course is designed for experienced computer forensic examiners who possess a solid understanding of computer forensic principles and mobile device handling procedures. This course has a prerequisite of Cybercop 215 - Macintosh® Triage and Imaging.
