ICAC-CI 335 - Advanced Wireless Network Investigations
This course is funded through OJJDP. To register for this class, you must be affiliated with an ICAC Task Force. Furthermore, you must agree to comply with the Best Practices and Standards established by ICAC. AWNI introduces techniques for locating wireless devices connected to
wireless networks. The course covers standards and best practices for locating
wireless devices using free and low-cost hardware and software solutions. WiFi
terminology, Kali Linux, command line interface (CLI), and packet capturing
techniques are covered. Other topics include wireless networking standards,
conducting a detailed wireless site survey, and legal considerations. AWNI is a
mixture of lecture, discussion, and hands-on exercises in which students locate
wireless devices using specialized hardware and software.
