The Intellectual Property ContACT (Concentrated Assistance and Collaborative Training) Resource provides an overview of intellectual property and resource materials to assist users with enhancing their department’s intellectual property crime enforcement efforts.

The Intellectual Property Overview section covers the background of intellectual property, concepts, key terms, facts and statistics. This section is presented in 3 parts titled, “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow”, which delivers a chronological perspective on the origin of IP, the current impact of IP crime, trends of IP crime.

The Resources section provides the user with methods of obtaining investigative and technical support and IP training, avenues for incident reporting, notable IP trademark cases, a sample press release document, federal IP laws, field officer tips for identifying potential IP violations, and a link to an online discussion forum.
