FC142 Human Trafficking Awareness for West Virginia Law Enforcement Officers

This course provides law enforcement personnel with an overview
of the various elements involved in the crime of human trafficking, with
a focus on the situation in West Virginia. The course covers West Virginia’s
human trafficking law, the major types of human trafficking, the scope
and extent of human trafficking, and resources for law enforcement officers who
encounter human trafficking. Topics include physical and behavioral indicators
of human trafficking, trafficked victims’ rights, the elements of a human
trafficking operation, and information about several federal and private
organizations making efforts to combat human trafficking.
This course is approved for 1 hour of annual in-service training for West
Virginia Law Enforcement.
