According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF),
global corruption costs countries trillions in lost revenue, taxation, and
infrastructure damage. These losses have a “trickle down” effect on the citizens
of affected countries, resulting detriment to health, education, and quality of
life. At the center of bribery and corruption scandals are individuals and their
enablers who choose to misuse their influence, wealth, and status to improve
their own lives, while others suffer the consequences. In this session, learners
will be shown local, national, and global corruption.
