One of the primary goals of law enforcement is to detect,
interdict, and prevent violence. The collection and analysis of social media and
Internet-based communications present interdiction and detection opportunities
to prevent terrorism and targeted violence.
During this webinar, we will
explore:
• Why and how violent extremists communicate historically
and in the present.
• How understanding online communication trends and
applying vetted mobilization
indicators can aid in attack
disruption or referrals to community-based intervention programs.
• Best practices for open-source collection and analysis
programs.
• The resources
available to law enforcement and how when they are applied
successfully, can
prevent terrorism and targeted violence.
