One of the primary goals of law enforcement is to detect, interdict, and prevent violence. The collection and analysis of social media and Internet-based communications present interdiction and detection opportunities to prevent terrorism and targeted violence.

During this webinar, we will explore:

• Why and how violent extremists communicate historically and in the present.
• How understanding online communication trends and applying vetted mobilization indicators can aid in attack disruption or referrals to community-based intervention programs.
• Best practices for open-source collection and analysis programs.
• The resources available to law enforcement and how when they are applied successfully, can prevent terrorism and targeted violence.
